Why only 20% on-line? There are extra costs to doing business on-line and the shipping I charge usually does not actually cover the full shipping cost. Some people think our jerky is expensive, while others think it is a great deal. The fact is that our prices are lower for each brand like Climax, Mountain America, Winchester and others than they sell it for on their own websites. It is all verifiable on their sites.

You have been seeing COUPON CODES recently in the Jerky Journal or maybe on the MJS site. All you need to do is copy the code & paste it into the space provided on the main Jerky Menu page or under About Us/MJS Coupons. Then you hit REDEEM. Christmas is arriving and I’m excited. It’s such a fun time of year. I personally love Christmas music and our home has Christmas decorations everywhere you look. I’ll have a picture of my personal favorite next week.

I love this time of year. The houses are decorated with beautiful lights and joyful festivities happening everywhere. But before I go on about that, I would like to share something dear to my heart that I wanted to share last month, my “November Leftovers”…

November was National Adoption Month. Not every family is able to adopt a child into their home, yet most everyone has room to “adopt a needy child” into your family’s heart by sponsoring an orphaned child in another country or right here in the States. I am a volunteer translator for Vision Trust International (VTI). They have an awesome sponsorship program with high integrity helping orphaned children since 1997.

You can choose a child from any one of 12 countries (and growing). I sponsor a child, Charley, in Brazil where I lived 10 years, working with very poor families and street children. Brazil needs more sponsors and I would be happy to answer any questions you may have about VTI. Recipe of the month
  As you are planning for your holiday parties, there are many hor deurves and dishes you can make with jerky. Our Shredded beef or buffalo jerky can be used on salads (healthier than bacon bits and just as delicious), added to a sauce or mixed into cheese like this recipe below. If you stopped by My Jerky Shop Thanksgiving weekend, this is what we served on Ritz crackers. It’s delicious!!
